Andy's Kayaking Adventures
On a trip down to Anglesey to celebrate Sams 21st birthday Bro took us both out Sea Kayaking in the Menai Straits and so after a 20 year break i was once again hooked on kayaking. However this time i had swapped the whitewater of the rivers of the UK for the open water of the sea. A short spell in a second hand Capella and now after a lot of help from Bro and Mike at Rockpool im now the proud owner of a new Rockpool Gt which is a fantastic kayak.
Welcome to Andy's blog. Please enjoy the photo's and stories below. For further photo's follow the link "Bro's photos" were a much wider selection of the Willacy brothers trips can be seen or join me on facebook.

Andy's Kayaking Adventures: Good Times
Andy's Kayaking Adventures: Good Times: "A short collection of my past trips and the good times ive had so far. Many more to come! Many thanks to Bro & Pascal for all there help..."
Wyre Estuary
A quick paddle on the Lancaster Canal straight after
work on Friday night was followed by a trip from
Knott End slip way up to Shard Bridge and back on
the Saturday morning, trying to make the best of
the only break in the weather for 2 weeks.
With seaquest coming up in September and a lot to
do before then i took the oportunity to paddle the
Estuary as i had a free morning. The Weather
was good but however after a few beers the night
before i had a slow start and so missed the tide.
This meant a slog for the last couple of miles upto
the shard bridge. Even with this i still managed
my best time of 2hours 38 min for the return trip.

Roscolyn
After a few relaxing days with friends around
north wales there was time for a trip to see big
brother for a couple of days kayaking around
Angelsey. This started with a trip from Roscolyn
up to the arches and back and then a lesson in
rescue drills. Great fun and nice to meet Pete
who was a great laugh.
